TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Raptors Freight & Logistics (“Raptors Freight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, mobile platforms, US locker facility, and delivery networks (collectively, the “Services”).
By opening an account, delivering items to our warehouse address, or using any of our services, you (“Customer,” “User,” or “You”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.
1. Overview of Services
Raptors Freight provides logistics, cargo forwarding, procurement, warehousing, and customs clearance services from the United States to international destinations, primarily Ghana and Togo. Services include:

Barrel Express & Baggage Courier Services

Package Consolidation & Free Warehousing

“Buy For Me” (Assisted Purchasing)

Door-to-Door Last Mile Delivery
2. User Accounts & USA Locker Address

Account Registration: To use our US package forwarding address, you must register for an account and provide accurate, current, and complete contact details.

Locker Identification: Packages delivered to our US warehouse (690 Mace Ave, Bronx, NY 10467) MUST include your unique Raptor Locker ID / Suite Number on the delivery shipping label.

Unidentified Packages: Packages received without a identifiable name or Locker ID may experience severe processing delays and incur a handling fee. Items unclaimed for over 60 days will be deemed abandoned and disposed of or sold to recover storage costs.
3. Billing, Weight Calculation & Payments

Volumetric vs. Actual Weight: Air freight is charged per pound ($/lb) based on whichever is higher: the Actual Scale Weight or the Dimensional (Volumetric) Weight.

Sea Freight Billing: Sea cargo is billed per cubic meter (CBM) or per volumetric weight based on service tier.

Storage Terms: Customers receive up to 4 weeks (28 days) of free package storage at our US warehouse for consolidation. Starting on day 29, daily storage fees apply ($1.00/day per package). Packages unreleased after 60 total days will be auctioned or destroyed.

Payment Clearance: Full payment of shipping charges, customs duties, and additional handling fees must be cleared via Mobile Money, card, or bank transfer prior to final doorstep delivery or warehouse pickup.
4. Prohibited and Restricted Items
You agree not to ship any goods that are illegal under US, Ghanaian, Togolese, or international transport laws.
Strictly Prohibited Items Include:

Explosives, fireworks, flammable liquids/gasses, and firearms or ammunition.

Illegal drugs, controlled substances, and narcotics.

Hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials, and toxic substances.

Live animals, plants, seeds, and perishable food products.

Currency, negotiable instruments, gold, bullions, and precious metals.

Counterfeit products, fake currency, and pirated materials.
Service-Specific Restrictions:

Barrel Express & Baggage Courier: Commercial merchandise, auto spare parts, and loose electronics are strictly prohibited in Barrel Express shipments. Minimum weight requirements apply (120 lbs for barrels, 50 lbs for baggage). Overweight packages are prorated.
5. Customs Clearance, Duties, & Import Regulations

Customs Processing: Raptors Freight acts as your agent for customs clearance. Unless stated otherwise, standard duties are bundled into our freight rates for eligible general consumer items.

Special / Commercial Import Duties: Commercial shipments, heavy machinery, specialized vehicles, or restricted commercial electronics may be subject to standalone import duty assessments, taxes, or inspection charges by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) or destination customs authorities. The Customer remains solely liable for these charges.

Customs Inspections & Seizures: Customs authorities have the legal right to inspect, delay, or seize any cargo. Raptors Freight assumes no liability for confiscation or fines resulting from undeclared, prohibited, or fraudulent items.
6. Inspection Rights & Packaging

Right to Inspect: For security and compliance with international law (FAA, TSA, Customs), Raptors Freight reserves the right to open and inspect any package delivered to our facilities without prior notice.

Packaging Requirements: Customers are responsible for ensuring items shipped to our US locker are appropriately packed by the merchant. While Raptors Freight provides repackaging services for consolidation, we are not responsible for damage resulting from inadequate original merchant packaging.
7. “Buy For Me” (Assisted Purchase) Terms

Agent Role: When using our “Buy For Me” service, Raptors Freight acts solely as an purchasing agent.

Pricing & Non-Refundability: Prices, availability, and merchant shipping fees are set by the third-party seller. Procurement fees are non-refundable once the order has been executed with the retailer.

Product Disputes: Raptors Freight is not responsible for merchant order inaccuracies, defective merchandise, or warranties. Any returns to third-party stores will incur additional return shipping charges borne by the customer.
8. Delivery, Transit Times & Liability Limits

Estimated Transit Times: Stated timelines (Air: 3–5 days; Sea: 6–8 weeks) are estimates and not guaranteed delivery dates. Delays caused by flight disruptions, customs hold-ups, weather, or port congestion do not constitute a breach of contract.

Proof of Delivery: Final delivery is confirmed via dispatch rider photo and signature proof. Delivery to an authorized party at your specified address satisfies our delivery obligation.

Limitation of Liability:

Unless optional Declared Value Insurance is purchased prior to shipment, Raptors Freight’s maximum legal liability for lost or physically damaged goods in transit is capped at $100 per shipment or $2.00 per pound, whichever is lower.

Raptors Freight is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of business revenue or profits).

Exclusions: We do not cover pre-existing damage, fragile items (glass, ceramics) shipped without crating, electronic/software failures without physical damage, or acts of God (Force Majeure).

9. Claims Procedure

Claims for lost or damaged cargo must be submitted in writing to
info@raptorsfreight.comwithin 7 days of delivery (or scheduled delivery date in case of total loss). -
Claims must include: tracking number, original merchant invoice, photo proof of packaging damage, and a detailed description of the item.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, USA (for US warehouse and transit operations) and the laws of the Republic of Ghana (for local clearance and destination operations). Any legal dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved through friendly negotiations, failing which it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in the applicable jurisdiction.
